The Role:

As a data scientist in the energy modelling team, you will develop and maintain advanced optimization models and forecasting pipelines for integrated energy solutions. Your models will be used by our in-house developed simulation platform and energy management system.

Your Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced optimization models and forecasting pipelines for energy management in congested areas. Examples include:
  • time series forecasting for power demand/supply and trading availability
  • mathematical optimization models for solar, battery and charge point control.
• Analyse, process, and visualize large data sets and model performance.

• Translate and validate model requirements with business needs.
• Develop and Implement APIs to expose your models in our microservice architecture.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

What You Bring To The Table:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Sustainable Energy, or a related field.
• Knowledge of energy markets and energy system modelling.
• Experience in data science, analytics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL and Git.
• Experience with data science and machine learning libraries.
• Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure Machine Learning and Azure Databricks.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Faust, Spark, FastAPI and Docker for stream processing, building APIs and containerization applications.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies for effective collaboration in cross-functional teams.
