About Sunrock Germany: 

Germany is a key focus market with great potential in the solar rooftop market. There are strong market drivers which create a solid and financeable business model for integrated, local (“behind-the-meter”) energy solutions for commercial & industrial clients in the coming years. The German team is experiencing a rapid build-up of the project development and project management teams. Our German head office is located in Düsseldorf, and we expect to open offices in the north and south of Germany as well. The first Solar PV Parks are moving into operations now, and we expect to have 100 MWp operational within the next six months.


What You'll Dive Into: 

You will be responsible to oversee all German financial operations from a finance and control perspective. You will work hands-on with the local finance team consisting of a financial controller and administrator (located in Dusseldorf) to ensure accurate and complete financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards. You will be reporting to the Finance Manager in Germany and will be in close contact with the Head of Finance in the Netherlands.



Your Responsibilities include (but are not limited too):

  • Ensuring complete, accurate and timely month-end closings in compliance with German GAAP and IFRS
  • Preparing periodic group reporting to Central Finance team in NL
  • Implementing, executing and monitoring internal controls and ensuring continuous improvement of all financial processes such as P2P, O2C, FA, RTR.
  • Coordinating the process of the statutory financial statement’s preparation under German GAAP and delivery of information for the group audit under IFRS standards.
  • Be first contact for the auditors and manage the external audit
  • Coordinating the day-to-day tasks of the local finance team, such as invoice and payment processing, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll processing, creditor/debtor management, VAT returns and Income tax calculations etc.
  • Playing a crucial part in the implementation of new ERP system (Oracle Netsuite).
  • Being a business partner for your colleagues from other departments such as Project Development and Asset Management to ensure commercial agreements and are accounted for correctly in our financial records
  • Collaborating with the local finance team and with the Group Financial team in the Netherlands to structurally strengthen our core of financial processes and improve automations of financial processes;
  • Independently solving moderately complex issues with limited supervision

Stellenanforderungen

What You Bring To The Table:

  • A completed Bachelors or Master's degree in Finance, Economics or Accountancy, ACCA is a pre
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Audit/Advisory or as Financial Controller
  • Knowledge and experience in German GAAP and IFRS
  • Excellent proficiency in German and English language
  • Familiar in ERP systems and solid software tools (Excel, Office) skills
  • You have the ability of working in an ever changing and fast paced environment and grow with it in responsibilities and capabilities
  • Personal characteristics: go-for-it mentality, self-starter, analytical, proactive, positive, strong communicator and enthusiastic.
  • Flexibility to communicate with different stakeholders.
