France is a key focus market with a large untapped potential in the solar rooftop market. There are strong market drivers which will create a solid and financeable business model for large-scale rooftop projects in the coming years. The French team has been successful to get a foot in the door in France and is now experiencing a rapid build-up of the team. Our French head office is located in Paris. The team is small, entrepreneurial and ambitious.

Your job as Financial Controller

As Financial Controller France you will hold a key position in our fast-growing team in Paris. You work accurately and finish what you start. You will be responsible to oversee all French financial operations from a finance and control perspective. Given the start-up phase of the French Sunrock entity, you will be the end-to-end responsible Controller to ensure accurate and complete financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards. Given the growth potential in France, your team will grow along with the growth of the business. You will be in close contact with and reporting to the Manager Accounting and Control in the Netherlands.

Your Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Ensuring complete, accurate and timely month-end closings in compliance with French GAAP and IFRS
• Preparing periodic group reporting under IFRS standards to Central Finance team in NL
• Implementing, executing, and monitoring internal controls and ensuring continuous improvement of all financial processes
• Coordinating the process of the statutory financial statement’s preparation under French GAAP and delivery of information for the group audit under IFRS standards
• Manage and execute the day-to-day financial operations, such as invoice and payment processing, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll processing, creditor/debtor management, VAT returns and Income tax calculations etc
• Being a business partner for your colleagues from other departments such as Project Development and Asset Management to ensure commercial agreements and are accounted for correctly in our financial records
• Collaborating with the Group Financial team in the Netherlands to structurally strengthen our core of financial processes and improve automations of financial processes
• Independently solving complex financial issues with minimal supervision
• Playing a crucial part in the implementation of the new ERP system

What You Bring To The Table:

• A completed Bachelors or Master's degree in Finance, Economics or Accountancy (OEC is a pre)
• A minimum of 4-5 years’ experience as Financial Controller
• Knowledge and experience in French GAAP and IFRS
• Fluent in French and English language
• Familiar in ERP systems and solid software tools skills (Excel, Office)
• You have the ability to work in an ever-changing and fast paced environment and grow with it in responsibilities and capabilities.
• Personal characteristics: entrepreneurial, go-for-it mentality, initiative-taker, analytical, proactive, positive, strong communicator and enthusiastic
• Flexibility to communicate with different stakeholders
• Further professionalizing the French finance function with support from Central Finance team in the Netherlands
