About the role

As Marketing Manager you will lead the development and execution of local marketing strategies to support commercial objectives. You will oversee all aspects of marketing, from campaign planning and content creation to digital engagement, event management, and budget allocation, ensuring Sunrock’s brand and solutions are effectively positioned in the market. 

Key Responsibilities 

Strategic Marketing 

• Develop, implement, and optimize local marketing strategies that align with Sunrock’s overall business goals. 

• Track and report on marketing KPIs and campaign performance, using centrally defined KPI frameworks and dashboards.

• Identify local market opportunities and recommend initiatives to drive brand awareness and lead generation.

• Ensure all marketing efforts contribute to pipeline creation and deal progression. 

• Allocate and manage the marketing budget ensuring effective use of resources and adherence to financial targets. Monitor expenditures, forecast costs, and report on budget performance. 

Content & Campaign Management 

• Oversee the creation and localization of marketing materials, ensuring relevance and resonance with local audiences. 

• Lead the development of case studies, product campaigns, and multimedia content (videos, blogs, photography, animations) together with the local team 

• Activate and apply Sunrock’s strategic narrative and brand guidelines across all local marketing activities, ensuring consistency with centrally defined messaging.

Digital & Social Media Strategy 

• Own and manage Sunrock’s local website content and digital channels while ensuring content is current and optimized for SEO. 

• Develop and execute social media strategies, including content calendars, post scheduling, and community management for LinkedIn and other relevant platforms. 

• Analyze digital performance metrics and adjust strategies to maximize engagement and reach. 

Event & PR Management 

• Plan, coordinate, and execute industry and customer events, trade shows, and presentations together with the Business Development team. 

• Lead PR activities, including press releases, media relations, and organizing journalist site visits. 

• Represent Sunrock at key industry events and foster relationships with stakeholders. 

Market Intelligence 

• Conduct ongoing market research to understand local trends, customer behaviours, and competitive landscape. 

• Provide actionable insights to inform marketing strategies and business development. 

• Act as the strategic marketing counterpart to Business Development in Germany. 

• Provide actionable insights to strengthen BD strategy and positioning. 

Team & Stakeholder Collaboration 

• Act as country owner for marketing execution while aligning with central marketing priorities, brand guardrails, and cross-country initiatives 

• Collaborate closely with Business Development, product, and development teams as well with the Marketing Manager (all countries) to ensure alignment and support for business objectives. 

• Manage external agencies and partners 

Requirements 

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; 

• 4+ years of marketing experience, preferably in B2B or the renewable energy sector; 

• Proven track record in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns; 

• Fluent in German, both written and spoken (minimum C1); 

• Strong digital marketing expertise, including SEO and social media management; 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; 

• Strong project management, organizational, and leadership skills; 

• Creative thinker with analytical abilities and a results-driven mindset; 

• Experience in the energy transition or solar energy sector is highly desirable.
