The Role:

At Sunrock we work everyday to deliver the best solar systems, BESS projects and smart energy innovations. We have an extensive client portfolio of real estate owners and tenants where we want to add value by adding our products. That is why we are looking for an experienced project developer, with a focus on connecting with our clients and realising these smart energy solutions.  

As a project developer within Sunrock you are a natural team captain and eager to create positive results together with your teammates. In this versatile role you have a lot of responsibility for the progress of the projects; you are the driving force and always keep the interested of both your accounts as the realization these projects as a priority. You have the necessary experience with project development, knowledge of the energy industry and you approach your work in a project and systematic manner. You know how to deal with setbacks creatively and you are super enterprising.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for account management, building and maintaining strong client relationships.

• Lead project development from commercial proposals through to financial close.

• Negotiate lease agreements and energy purchase agreements to secure favorable terms.

• Oversee project execution, proactively guiding and steering the team to achieve results.

• Ensure project and financial control throughout the lifecycle of solar projects.

• Apply a solid technical understanding of solar energy and the renewable energy market.

• Stay ahead of market trends, continuously sharing insights and best practices with the team.

What You Bring To The Table:

• a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with relevant professional experience.

• Enthusiastic and resilient, with a positive energy that drives success.

• 3-7 years of experience in project or business development and/or B2B account management. A strong understanding of solar energy systems, energy storage solutions, or EV infrastructure is a plus, with the ability to navigate technical details effectively.

• A natural leader who thrives in a team environment.

• Goal-oriented and collaborative, committed to achieving targets alongside the team.

• Proficiency in English; proficiency in Dutch is a strong advantage.

• Commercially driven and financially savvy, with a keen business mindset.
