The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Technical Project Manager to oversee the successful development, execution, and delivery of ‘Energy Solutions’ projects, consisting of Solar PV, (Battery) Energy Storage Systems (BESS/ESS), Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, and possibly generators. This role requires a combination of strong technical expertise and project management skills to drive projects from early-stage development through to completion.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Drive projects from early-stage development to successful completion, combining technical expertise with project management skills.

• Collaborate with other (Technical) Project Managers and Specialists to provide technical expertise across Energy Solutions projects.

• Support the team with electrical design, including grid connection and integration of project subsystems.

• Conduct site assessments across multiple locations to evaluate project feasibility and identify opportunities.

• Estimate costs for new technical solutions by analyzing quotes and installation costs to enable the Commercial team to proceed confidently.

• Advise on contractor, component, and solution selection to ensure technically sound and commercially viable project outcomes.

• Serve as a key advisor and member of the project management team and multidisciplinary project teams.

• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, tenants, contractors, DNO/DSOs, and Sunrock departments (Client Solutions, Asset Management, Energy Trading).

• Oversee all stages of the project development lifecycle, from concept to delivery, while navigating complex stakeholder landscapes.

• Contribute expertise in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, ensuring projects meet technical and commercial objectives.

What You Bring To The Table:

• Technical education e.g. electrical engineering or another relevant study

• Extensive experience in electrical engineering / installation technology (NEN1010&NEN3140)

• Proven experience in electrical design, project development, and delivery of complex energy projects (solar PV projects, BESS/ESS, energy systems and distribution)

• Proficient technical skills in electrical systems, grid integration, and renewable energy technologies (solar PV, battery storage, EV charging infrastructure)

• Strong knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices for renewable energy systems

• Strong project management skills

• Able to strike the right balance between technical feasibility and cost-effectiveness in a solution

• Commercial mindset, strong and responsible verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage internal- and external stakeholders and provide clear (technical) guidance.

• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, developers, clients, and contractors.

• You have a keen eye for detail who thrives in environments requiring flexibility and creative solutions.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in resolving technical challenges during the project development lifecycle

• Proficiency in Dutch and English
